Automobile giant Nissan has currently announced the prices for their 2015 GT-R lineup, with its GT-R Nismo coming it at $151,585, destination included.
The GT-R Premium’s base model has a starting price of $101,770, while the starting MSRP of their GT-R Black Edition is currently at $111,510. The GT-R Track Edition is priced at $115,710 and will be available for purchase starting July 31. The GT-R Nismo will be released publicly on the same date.
The GT-R series had “humble” beginnings in North America back in 2008, when the line’s starting price was set at $69,850, not even half of NISMO’s asking price.
Nissan’s 2015 GT-R Nismo boasts a 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 engine, with 481 pounds per feet of torque and 600 horsepower. All other models under the GT-R series have a capacity of 545 horsepower and 463 pounds per feet of torque. The line’s Track Edition sports an enhanced suspension, carbon fiber air ducts in the front spoiler, custom brake cooling guides, lightweight carbon fiber trunklids, heated front seats, blue-trimmed high grip seats.
The GT-R Nismo held the Nurburgring volume production lap record at 7:08:679. This record time was achieved thanks to the Nismo’s enhancements, making it more advanced compared to standard models. The Nismo is equipped with an added 220 pounds in downforce, heightened roll stiffness and a higher body shell rigidity.
